Since everyday methods of food, water, and fuel delivery will likely be severely hampered or even eliminated in the wake of a large-scale national disaster, storage facilities will abound both within the boundaries of The Resort at Forest Haven and also at strategic locations nearby.
First, there will be extensive grain storage facilities to store grain crops that are produced at the resort. Second, there will be extensive water storage in multiple locations throughout the resort. Water tanks will hold rain water and well water. Solar and wind-powered wells will draw water from aquifers deep below the surface. Lakes and ponds will function as a reserve source of water as well. Water storage facilities will ensure that there is plentiful water for drinking, bathing, sanitation, cooking, raising animals, growing crops, and all other potential needs. Third, there will be extensive food storage for emergency reserve purposes as well as potential barter opportunities. Fourth, there will be multiple fuel storage locations of assorted fuel types: gasoline, diesel, propane, battery banks, wood, etc.
